The -unknown- are the primordial entities that predate the universe as it is. They existed before time, before space, before death, in a boundless dark void.
Link to the Gods
The Seven Gods come from the lineage of the -unknown- but distinguished themselves by manifesting. Shadow Slave cosmology suggests the Forgotten God himself belongs to this primordial lineage, which would make the Seven Daemons (his children) direct descendants of the -unknown-.
Terminology
The term Old Ones is sometimes used for the -unknown-. The Lord of Hunger, a menacing presence mentioned from Vol 7 onward, is suspected to be one of them or their emanation.
Narrative Status
The -unknown- are a background presence in nearly every arc. They are never fully seen, never named — their existence is revealed in fragments through sybils, priestesses, and cosmic memories.
