The Cradle is one of the deepest layers of the Dream Realm, invoked in volumes after the Third Nightmare. The term suggests a womb — the place where the Dreamscape itself was born.
Status
- Hypothesis A: The Cradle is what remains of the intact Dream God's domain before his fragmentation
- Hypothesis B: It is a zone of rebirth where the oldest souls take form
Access
Access to the Cradle requires Supreme rank at minimum and probably a link with a Daemon or with the Forgotten God himself. Sunny has not yet officially entered it in the published canon.
Importance
The Cradle is one of the major unresolved elements of the story. Its exact nature will likely be revealed in Volumes 11+.
